Fire Fighters are often exposed to communicable diseases due to the people that they encounter on the job. Below is a list of precautions that should be followed when dealing with a person who is infected with Lice.

1) Avoid prolonged contact with the infested person, if possible wear disposable gloves
2) If the above is not possible and infestation is evident, change clothing as soon as possible
3) Launder or dry clean the clothing to destroy lice and their eggs
4) If infected seek immediate medical help and take precautions to prevent spread to others
5) Submit an Injured on Duty Report (IOD)

If you find you are infected which steps would you take first?
